pillowcase sewing... not for your bed

Most people with little girls get or make a pillowcase dress at some point.




 I don't have little girls, and so dress sewing is mostly for me.  I don't feel like I look all that great in a bag dress, but maybe a top?

Simple instructions: I took two squares 18" x 18" of a gauze that I have had for a long time.  I ironed and hemmed the bottom of each, I serged the side edges and ironed and hemmed a 1 1/2" casing on the top edge. 
Then, with right sides together I sewed the two pieces together 9" below the top.  I top stitched the seams on the 9" armholes. 
I threaded the ribbon through the casing, cinched, and tied a bow.
